Iran Beach Soccer Team arrives in Seychelles
The Iran national beach soccer team, also known as Team Melli, arrived in Seychelles on Sunday morning ahead of the highly anticipated FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2025. The tournament brings together the world’s best in the sport, and Iran is set to compete in Group B alongside debutants Mauritania, two-time world champions Portugal, and South American powerhouse Paraguay—making it one of the most competitive groups in the tournament.

Host nation Seychelles will feature in Group A and face a diverse lineup of opponents, including Belarus, Guatemala, and Asian giants Japan. Group C promises exciting clashes as European contenders Spain go head-to-head with African champions Senegal, South American hopefuls Chile, and the always-entertaining Tahiti. Group D is highlighted by a thrilling rematch of the 2024 final between defending champions Brazil and Italy, with El Salvador and Oman rounding out the group.

The FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Seychelles 2025 is set to kick off on May 1, with the grand final scheduled for May 11, promising eleven days of thrilling action on the sands of the Indian Ocean.
Led by head coach Ali Naderi, Iran will open their Group B campaign against tournament newcomers Mauritania on May 1.
